About

Movement as image, pressure and transformation.

Matthew Moore is an Adelaide-based choreographer and performer originally from Aotearoa New Zealand. His practice draws on task-based improvisation, observed human behaviour and tightly structured physical systems.

His work is interested in how repetition changes meaning, how bodies negotiate influence and restriction and how complex ideas can be communicated without literal storytelling.

Previous work spans contemporary dance and theatre across Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Mexico, Italy, India and Liechtenstein. Credits include Atamira Dance Company, Borderline Arts Ensemble, Auckland Theatre Company and independent work presented through Auckland Fringe and Auckland Live.
